About the School of Nursing 

The School of Nursing & Public Health at JCMU,  is dedicated to providing the highest quality education to a diverse population of students through our BSN, MSN, BPH, MPH, Ph.D., Dr.PH., DNP and graduate certificate programs. 

Graduates from our college are prepared to be nurse & public health scientists leaders in research, education and practice.

Historically, the School of Nursing & Public Health has been a leader in nursing & public health education, knowledge generation and contemporary Nursing Practice.

CURRICULUM 

Students must have completed the pre-nursing courses at an accredited institution or at the James Cook Medical University, in order to be considered for admission into the Four-year (11 semesters) Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. Subjects / courses that have successfully passed through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DSST (formerly DANTES Subject Standardized Tests) will be accepted and awarded transfer credit.

The following pre-requisites courses must be satisfactorily completed before admission into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program:
